Cool deal and yes buthids rock :D My adult C. gracilis aren't really active from what I see anyways...there always hanging upside down under the log I have in there for them. I've seen them eat once they already have the roach but I've never seen them take it down.
Yeah that's pretty funny that one ran back to mom to eat. Yeah mom's like get 'em out of here I done...lol and that's probably why she seemed very docile, more focused on getting away from the little ones.
Congrats that the babies left Mom's back. Yeah from my experience slings don't fair well with bottle caps unless you've got pebbles in there or something to prevent drowning. My 1.2 C. gracilis are doing good, and actually the male was trying to get some action going with one of the females...

All my T's I had in the past have done some sort of happy dance when eating, current ones I haven't had very long so don't know about them yet. I still remember my 7" female L.klugi dancing around circle bobbing, I just figured it was because she was eating 3 large dubias.
