Oh, and I can definitely see her crunching that cricket! Can't wait until mine comes out of this molting process and I get to see her go crazy on these crickets I bought her. How often do you feed yours? My local pet shop didn't have the larrrggeee crickets, just smaller to average, so I was...

I just wanted to say thank you all to the responses, and help! I got him more substrate and dampened one half about two days ago, seeing as they like a bit more humidity than rosea. Basically dampened it by overfilling his waterbowl a bit then sprinkling some water here and there in the corner...

Couple more photos from tonight's handling. These are all taken with my phone, but I really liked the first one (6207). He's still been very calm and easy to handle, still rejecting food.

Pretty guy! ;) I'm guessing from the blues it is a male? (Or the lighting? lol) I can't recall correctly but don't the colors make it easier to sex Haitian? I just skimmed over a care sheet and information on them -- I've been crazy busy! She's been refusing her food, though, and I did read...

Haitian Brown? Thanks! I've been wondering why she looks so different compared to Rosies! (Right after a google) Oh my gosh, you're totally right! I had no idea, I thought I was handling a rosie. I will definitely use more caution from now on, but she has never seemed very agitated before or...

    How to sex your tarantula

This is an awesome post, can't wait until my next molt. When I saw the image of the needle holding open the tarantula's sex organ, though, I thought "Next, your agitated tarantula will flick hairs into your eyeball. But don't worry, if this doesn't agitate your skin or eye quite enough he OR she...

    My Enclosures

No words. I just joined this forum to ask a few questions about my first tarantula (I'm not too sure she is a rosie, but what do I know yet? ;)) and this set up is BEYOND amazing! Can't imagine the time and work that went into it. My "OCD" would kick in if I hadn't filled one square with an...
